[Video] Day Three of the #videochallenge: The Explainathon

by Rachael on September 3, 2010

Good grief, I’m tired of the sound of my own explaining. I hope you like it! Also, I’m ever so sorry that you didn’t get to see the burp in the first take. Maybe next time.

I love this Q&A format. Great idea. And looking forward to a good belch soon.

Looks like you’re pointing the camera at a mirror? If so, you’re looking at the camera and not at the camera THROUGH THE MIRROR, lol. Do that, and you’ll be looking right at us. :)

What happened was this: I pulled my PhotoBooth window over to the left, so I could glance to the right and read the questions in Tweetdeck. Heehee.

Result: I’m looking at… somebody else? LOL.

The reason I thought you were recording through a mirror was because the words on the whiteboard behind you are backwards. Same with your t-shirt the other day.

Oh! That makes sense. No, I can’t figure out how to mirror the video when I’m recording. It records everything backwards. Do you know how to do that?

Really?! That’s weird. I wonder if my camera does that, which might explain why I don’t look strange to myself, lol. You know it is when you see a photo of yourself and seems ‘off’ because you’re used to your mirror image? Hmm. Well I guess you could put up a mirror and point the camera at you in the mirror. But that’s too much hassle. Who cares if things are backwards? This way, we can see you the way you see yourself, in the mirror!

Thank you for finally clearing up the serif font quandary that has plagued me for years now. I could have looked it up somewhere, but it was a lot more enjoyable to have you explain it.

Thanks!

Haha, you’re welcome! I’m not sure how helpful “…serif fonts have curvy bits on them…” really is, but I’m glad it was enjoyable. :D
