I’m A Web Designer
Ever since I discovered the awesomeness that is HTML, back when my oldest boy was just a baby (*cough* EIGHT YEARS AGO *cough*), I have been designing and coding for the web.
I’ve honed my design and code skills since my long-ago days as the proud owner of a collection of Homestead webpages, and I currently design websites, logos, and Twitter backgrounds for a living.
I seriously love what I do, so if we have a chance to work together, I hope you’ll be just as excited about it as I am.
My mini manifesto
Realizing that I’m not just a web designer, but that I’m a person who is creative, has affected my understanding of my art and my business.
I used to take a lot of rush jobs, until I realized that getting paid more money didn’t actually make more time for me to do the project I’d promised.
I used to give out deadlines that were beyond my ability to easily reach, until I started understanding how much time it actually takes to do great design work.
I used to shrug off the name artist because I can’t draw very well, and I don’t paint portraits; until I realized that my life’s work is my art, and my art is a beautiful thing that can only be done by me.

“my life’s work is my art, and my art is a beautiful thing that can only be done by me” r what you’ve said here is a beautiful thing. I do believe I will be quoting you on that in the near future and linking back.
I’d be honored if you did. :) Thanks so much for this comment.
I second Carlos’s sentiment. That’s exactly what I needed to hear.
That was so eloquently put. People often forget that beautiful webpages are a work of art. Also appreciate the honesty. Admitting limitations is sometimes the best path to growth.
